Robertson Construction Eastern Limited will undertake the work, due to commence on Monday 25 February.
The Council has set a target completion date of autumn 2013.
The work will include:
- retiling of both pools and poolside areas;
- repair of all water damage and redecoration of all internal walls;
- replacement of the old changing area and basket clothes storage;

- creation of a new reception area;
- new toilets;
- reconfiguration of spectator seating to meet disability access requirements.
Aberdeen City Council is continuing to work with Sport Aberdeen, which will run the swimming pool, to engage with individuals and groups in Torry and develop a programme for the facility.
Aberdeen City Council's Convener of Education, Culture and Sport Committee Councillor Jenny Laing said: "We are delighted that, after a considerable period of closure, we have been able to commit resources to enable the reopening of a much improved and upgraded Tullos Pool by autumn this year."
Keith Taylor, regional managing director of Robertson, said: "We are pleased to be involved with the refurbishment of Tullos swimming pool, which will be a great asset for the Torry area.
"We look forward to starting on site very soon and will ensure the local community is kept fully up to date with our progress throughout the construction phase."
