A contractor working on behalf of Scotland Transerv will be constructing a new slip road to link Stadium Road in Inverness to the A9 Trunk Road.

The Highland Council has announced temporary restrictions for vehicles will be put in place on Monday 7 January and will remain until Monday 11 February.

Part of Stadium Road will be temporarily closed between its roundabout junction with the A9 London – Edinburgh – Thurso Trunk Road and its junction with the access to the Longman Landfill Site.

The restriction will apply to all vehicles between the hours of 7pm and 7am, and may apply to vehicles travelling in a westbound direction between the hours of 7am and 7pm.

Owing to the width and depth of the construction works, maintaining access will not be possible and all vehicles will be required to use an alternative route.
