Construction work has been finished on a new recycling centre for Perth & Kinross.
The Inveralmond Recycling Centre is based at the Inveralmond Industrial Estate in Perth.
The facility on Ruthvenfield Road has been developed to provide improved access to recycling facilities for residents living to the north and west of Perth.
Built by contractors RJ McLeod for Perth & Kinross Council, the centre will open at noon on December 13.
The new centre will be used by the public to dispose of a wide range of waste materials, including household electrical items, scrap metal, timber, bikes, batteries, engine oil and garden waste.
There will also be facilities to recycle glass, cans, paper, cardboard and rigid plastic packaging.
Environment Convener, Councillor Alan Grant, said: "The new Centre will provide a state of the art facility for residents to use over the festive period and beyond. We would like to encourage our communities to make best use of this excellent facility, and to contribute further still to increasing the recycling and composting rate in Perth and Kinross."
