An Aberdeen construction firm has announced the award of new contracts worth over £2m.
Anderson Construction made the announcement of its latest contracts as the north-east company recovers from a very busy spell during the summer.
Work undertaken by Anderson will now include alterations and extensions for the Buchan Hotel at Ellon, a school extension project at Stonehaven for Aberdeenshire Council and a new dental practice at Bridge of Don.
The firm has also been awarded work with Ellon engineering firm Sulzer Wood and Aberdeen energy service company Online Electronics.
Managing director Kenny Anderson said: "These awards consolidate what follows a very busy summer, although the construction market remains as challenging as it has been in living memory. This news vindicates our decision to continue recruiting apprentices earlier in 20l2 and we are now in a position where apprentices or former apprentices represent over 30olo of our work force."
The contract wins follow successful handovers of contracts for Fifth Ring, Dolphin Drilling, Stork Technical Services and Anderson Bain Properties.
