South Lanarkshire Firm Achieves ISO:9001 Accreditation

Automatic Protection Limited (APL) of Biggar, South Lanarkshire has achieved the ISO:9001 2008 quality management scheme.

The accreditation means all work must be undertaken to the highest standards regarding quality, safety, execution, performance, reliability and cost.

Under the scheme, APL will now be obliged to commit to ideals in industry practice such customer satisfaction, regular internal audits on all documented processes and the continual review of processes.

The firm will also undertake to employ highly qualified personnel who are well trained and experienced.

The ISO:9001 2008 scheme is entirely voluntary and indicates a commitment on APL’s behalf to provide quality and service.

It also means the company will be regularly inspected to ensure the continued delivery of quality and safety.

Automatic Protection Limited was established in January 2001 by father and son Neil and Stuart Harrison.

The company is based in the border town of Biggar and has 45 years’ experience in the fire and security industry.

APL designs, installs, commissions and maintains Automatic Fire Extinguishing and Suppression Systems which include smoke, flame, heat and HSSD (high sensitivity smoke detection) and the suppression system of whichever extinguishing agent is required.
