Construction contractors have been invited to Aberdeenshire Council for a "meet the buyer" event.
The event will take the form of a workshop designed to advise contractors how to bid for work from the Council.
It is being hosted by the Council’s Head of Property and Facilities Management and other senior Council managers.
The event will include discussions on the Council’s construction and maintenance programmes and provide information on the way in which opportunities for contractors are advertised.
There will also be advice on the Council’s requirement to demonstrate it is obtaining the best possible value for money and the ways in which its Economic Development Service can help businesses.
"Meet The Buyer" is being held at Aberdeenshire Council’s Woodhill House in Aberdeen from 09:30 on Monday 26 November 2012.
Managers will be available for questions and discussions.
Chair of Aberdeenshire Council’s Infrastructure Services Committee, Cllr Peter Argyle said: "We are keen to see Aberdeenshire based businesses are given every possible opportunity to compete for council contracts.
"Through events of this kind we intend to work with these companies to ensure that they are better informed about how they can become part of our supply chain."
Committee vice-chair, Cllr Alan S Buchan, added: "If companies are unsure of have questions about the procurement process then this is their chance to quiz council officials. I hope many will have the time to come along on Monday and find out how they can win Council contracts."
