Offshore Company Announces Westhill Move

Ashtead Technology Offshore has announced it will be moving to new global headquarters in Westhill.

The company, which supplies equipment for underwater positioning and surveying, ROV operations, remote visual inspection and non-destructive testing, has recently invested in the new premises.

The news of the £750,000 investment follows the recent appointment of new CEO Allan Pirie.

The company’s new lodgings have seen its capacity doubling, and will incorporate offices, warehouse, maintenance warehouses and a specialised calibration laboratory.

Ashtead says it recruited 15 new staff in 2012, with additional staff now being planned due to the establishment of its new base.

The company owns three offshore supply facilities located in Aberdeen, Houston and Singapore as well as fully serviced agents in Norway and Australia.

The recent investment and expansion will now see Ashtead offering the renting of equipment, calibration, repair and maintenance, offshore personnel and bespoke engineered solutions.

CEO Allan Pirie said: "The move to our new Westhill facility is a key achievement in Ashtead Technology’s ambitious global plans for the future, which include a focus on equipment innovation, service excellence and personnel. Our development opportunities for employees are expanding rapidly and we look forward to further developing our service offering from our new facility.

"This is an exciting time of growth in the offshore subsea market and we continue to invest in facilities, personnel and the latest technology equipment to support our expanding customer requirements."
