Link Group Ltd Completes Building Of 16 Homes

Link Group Ltd has completed the £2.1m construction of 16 homes at Taig Road, Waterside, Kirkintilloch.

Link acquired the site using funding provided by the Scottish Government. Designed by MAST Architects of Glasgow and built by CCG, the properties meet Link design standards for affordable housing. Link worked closely with East Dunbartonshire Council and the Scottish Government to agree costs and timescales for the project. The contract was awarded to CCG following a competitive tender process.

The 16 properties consist of 10 two bedroom cottage flats, with one flat specifically designed to meet the needs of a wheelchair user, four two bedroom mid-terrace houses and two three bedroom end-terrace houses. The new development includes the provision of a new play area with safe grass mat surface to replace the existing outdated equipment.

Link Group's Vice Chair, Roy Stirrat said: "Link is delighted to deliver quality homes and amenities in such a pleasant setting. And we will be completing a further project in partnership with East Dunbartonshire Council in the near future."
