In the coming year, there are a number of exciting initiatives being introduced to strengthen and improve apprenticeships in the Scottish construction industry.

SBATC, in conjunction with ConstructionSkills, has sought to communicate these alterations to employers through the creation of an 'induction' seminar which is being delivered by SBATC Registrar Vaughan Hart at various sessions throughout the country.

The latest event is scheduled to take place on Monday 27 August 2012 from 10:00am in the Thistle Hotel, Millburn Road, Inverness, IV2 3TR.

SBATC would like to extend an invitation to all local apprenticeship employers to attend this seminar which will endeavour to engage with employers in a pro-active manner in order to effectively communicate the new enhancements, in addition to addressing a variety of legal issues which may arise through the employment of apprentices in the construction industry. There will also be an update from ConstructionSkills on the 2012/2013 Grant Scheme.
