A Victorian building at Kings Yard in the west of the site was rescued from dereliction and renovated as part of the Energy Centre, which provides heating and cooling systems to all the buildings that will house the international sporting event.
And Blairs Windows Ltd provided exact replicas of the building’s original windows on time and within security guidelines.

A spokesperson for the Greenock-based firm said the high-profile project presented "many significant challenges of the kind that Blairs Windows excel in meeting".
ODA Director of Infrastructure and Utilities Simon Wright said: "Sustainability is at the heart of the 2012 project and the Energy Centre will ensure a lasting legacy of green power in the Olympic Park for generations to come. The state-of-the-art Energy Centre will be one of the largest in the UK and the lean, mean and green sustainability features that underpin this project will set a model for future urban regeneration schemes."
The Energy Centre was officially opened in October 2010 by Mayor of London Boris Johnson and Olympic Delivery Authority Chief Executive David Higgins.
It has worked smoothly since and will continue to provide power to the new communities on the site after the Games are over.
