The hunt is on to find the next David Beckham, Wayne Rooney or Denis Law, among hundreds of conference delegates in Manchester as City Building – one of Scotland’s largest construction firms – launches a competition to find the best penalty taker.
Scotland may not be at Euro 2012 but visitors to City Building's stand (F10) at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Conference & Housing Exhibition, will be able to demonstrate their football talents through an interactive penalty shoot-out game.
The winner will receive a Ticketmaster voucher which will allow them to book an event of their choice.
The exhibition takes place at Manchester Central from today until Thursday (June 14), with more than 100 speakers.
John Foley of City Building said: "Our football challenge is designed to generate some friendly competition but at its heart is a serious message. Supporting the community and providing sustainable housing are our real goals, and through events like CIH we can share our knowledge of the sector to help build a brighter future. We hope that attendees will visit the City Building stand to learn more about our work, and of course demonstrate their footballing prowess!"
