A leading renewables company is calling on contractors with an interest in moving into the wind market.
Senior representatives from RWE npower renewables will be on hand to answer questions at a two hour presentations and networking morning at the Lochside House Hotel in Cumnock, Ayrshire.
The company, which has a target of making 20% of its energy renewable by 2020, is holding the 'meet the buyer' event in order to inform businesses of the opportunities available in onshore and offshore projects, and provide nitty-gritty information on how to bid.
RWE is actively seeking suppliers and will work with Scottish Enterprise to broaden its search in this field.
Scottish Enterprise is pushing renewable energy at the moment, pointing out on its website that a quarter of Europe’s wind energy crosses the sea around Scotland, and 100% is Scottish gross electricity consumption is due to be from renewable energy bu 2020.
A Scottish Enterprise spokesman said: "We can help your business get involved, and take advantage of the unique opportunity presented by offshore wind."
