Lawrence McPherson Associates have submitted a scheme for planning consent for a 60 Bed Premier Inn and Beefeater Restaurant on behalf of Whitbread plc, at Forthside in Stirling.

Located to the East of Stirling town centre, the site has views of the River Forth which runs along the northern boundary of the site, views to Stirling Castle in the North West and the Wallace Monument in the East. The location of the buildings within the site and their relationship to each other in addition to the other buildings has evolved during extensive pre-application discussions which have been conducted with the Council.

The scale and massing of the proposed hotel and restaurant have been designed to take account of the site's unique characteristics and to reflect the immediate and wider environment. The form of the proposed hotel and restaurant has also been designed to reflect the location and orientation of the site and where appropriate to maximise views towards Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument.

This development is one of a number of projects in Scotland for Premier Inn, designed by Lawrence McPherson Associates - currently on site or at the design stages.
