Leading affordable housing provider Home Scotland, part of Home Group, has appointed painting and maintenance specialist Seddon Property Services for a five-year contract to provide painting and joinery repairs services.

The contract, worth £1.5 million in total turnover, starts in April 2012 and will see Seddon providing painting and joinery services to Home Scotland at a number of its social housing schemes.

"We are delighted to have been chosen for this new contract with Home Scotland and look forward to using our painting and joinery expertise to deliver a high-quality service for Home Scotland and its residents," said Kevin Shutt, strategic operations manager for Seddon Property Services.

David Coope, Home Group’s head of strategic procurement, commented: "Seddon pulled together an impressive submission during our tendering process. We look forward to working with them and are confident they will provide a good service to Home Scotland and our customers."

Seddon Property Services is part of Seddon Group, a family-owned company specialising in construction, painting and maintenance and housebuilding.
