Transportation & Environmental Services are set to begin upgrading a number of residential streets in St Andrews.

Work will start on Monday 26 March, 2012, and is expected to take up to four weeks to complete.

Drainage works will be undertaken in the first week of the improvements, from Monday 26 – Friday 30 March.

All routes will remain open at this time. Resurfacing will then commence firstly on Scooniehill Road and Kilrymont Road before progressing to both Warrack Street and Priestden Place.

To ensure the health and safety of the workforce and the public a temporary road closure will be in place for the duration of the surfacing works from Saturday 31 March until Sunday 22 April.

The improvements on Scooniehill and Kilrymont roads will be completed before work starts on Warrack Street and Priestden Place. This is to ensure this area is completed during the school holidays.

Access for the emergency services will be maintained at all times. Access for residents will be maintained but at the contractor’s discretion.

Every effort will be made to minimise inconvenience to road users and any disruption will be kept to a minimum.

Further notification will be issued to residents before works start.
