Edinburgh's transport leader has thanked motorists and other road users for their cooperation during the latest phase of tram works in the city centre.
Cllr Gordon Mackenzie said: "I would like to thank drivers for their cooperation and patience so far but also remind them that there are further measures being introduced in line with the closure of Shandwick Place this weekend.
"I have visited the council's traffic control room during rush hour a number of times this week and, from what I have seen, the traffic management is bedding in well. That said, I would still encourage anyone planning a journey in or around the city centre to consult the council website for information on journey times, parking and public transport prior to setting off."
