Aberdeen-based Aiken Group has announced that turnover has doubled in the last three years to £12 million.

The 24-year-old Aiken Group is a leading multi-discipline company specialising in accommodation upgrades, refurbishments and new-builds worldwide. The company employs 52 staff at its Aberdeen headquarters, plus more than 100 contractors worldwide.

In 2009, turnover was reported at £6.6 million and it broke through £10 million mark in 2010. The most recent announcement, however, sees the figure rise again to £12 million.

Aiken Group managing director Danny Donald said: “Having the right people in the right jobs is crucial to the success of the Aiken Group and our ongoing recruitment drive is ensuring that we are able to meet the needs of our growing client base whilst providing an even better service to existing customers.

“We now have the right formula to fulfil the vision for Aiken’s future growth, not least the ability to be flexible and provide solutions-based expertise in all areas of our marketplaces around the world.”

Mr Donald added: “Indications are already showing that our current financial year will continue the upward trend in our figures.”
