Glasgow Housing Association have introduced more improvements to GHA homechoice, their choice-based letting pilot running in the West of the city.
Since they launched Homechoice, GHA have been listening to feedback from customers and looking for ways we can make the service better before rolling it out across the city.
Now people looking for a home can see lots of useful information about the neighbourhood of each property advertised in Homechoice.through links to www.upmystreet.com. This includes leisure facilities, shops and some basic transport information.
Adverts also link to maps and google earth street images so customers can see exactly where the property is and how the neighbourhood looks.
Customers will also be able to see how all the properties in which they have noted an interest have been allocated. This will give people a clearer idea of why they may not have been successful in getting a property. This could be, for example, because the home they noted interest in was too big for their needs or because the property was advertised for applicants in a specific priority group.
Staff are also now better able to advise on what steps customers might be able to take to increase their chances of successfully securing a new home through Homechoice.
