Clyde Windows & Construction Go Energy Efficient.

Clyde windows and construction are very proud to announce that they have just recently received accreditation to PLANITHERM approved installer and manufacturing network

Company director Dax Duckett tells us: “ PLANITHERM is a new generation of energy saving window glass for double glazing or triple glazing that uses advanced invisible coatings to retain more internal warmth that our clients need to pay for whilst capturing free energy from natural daylight.
That means lower energy bills compared to standard windows supplied by other companies.”

By using PLANITHERM, our upvc windows and doors able to give our clients A rated windows using the frame of their choice, for around the same cost as less energy efficient windows.

Installing energy efficient windows from Clyde Windows and Construction can save you up to 28% per year on your heating bills compared to traditional windows and frames and we regularly visit clients and prove this with an energy efficiency calculator which is supplied to us by “ The Energy Savings Trust” and that research has shown that many homeowners assume that all double glazing is equally energy efficient. In fact, there are huge differences in performance and it is the glass that makes the difference.

The thermal insulation provided by low-E double glazing is three times more efficient than that of standard double glazing and PLANITHERM products are the ideal low-e solution to meeting and exceeding the newly revised Building Regulations energy efficiency requirements.

PLANITHERM products use a special coating to reflect heat from domestic heat sources back into the room, rather than allowing it to escape through the windows. At the same time, this coating allows free heat and light from the sun to pass through the glass, warming the room and further contributing to the energy efficiency of the windows and helping to reduce your energy bills.

The PLANITHERM range can be combined with many other Saint-Gobain Glass products, providing a multitude of high performance, multi-functional glazing options, including:This combination of excellent thermal insulation with high solar heat gain makes PLANITHERM the most energy efficient window glass available and the best possible choice for energy savings.
