Graham Construction has received a Saltire Commendation Award for work on Foulertoun Arches, North Ayrshire.
This high profile event was attended by many clients and consultants and notably the ICE President, Peter Hansford. This is the firm's second Saltire award, the first awarded five years ago for Stobcross On-ramp, Kingston Bridge, Glasgow.
The commendation reads: "This commendation is given to recognize the effort and co-operation of client, contractor, designer and community. From the project’s inception, when the structural form was decided by open public consultation, through the tender and construction partnering approach adopted by all parties and the involvement of local school children in the naming and opening of the bridge, this was truly a successful project."
The firm offered the company a sincere "thank you" and "congratulations" to all the staff who worked on both of these bridges.
