Falkirk Council has launched a new development plan consultation, ensuring residents throughout the area will have the opportunity to have their say on future land use for business, leisure and housing over the next ten years.
According to the report presented to a meeting of the Economic Strategy and Development Committee, the first stage in preparing the plan is the Main Issues Report (MIR) which focuses on the main changes and key issues facing the area, options for future growth and where new housing and land for employment use should be located.
A number of methods will be used to encourage stakeholders to get involved and have their say, with copies available for inspection online and in libraries.
Workshops are also planned and will be held across different areas and with different key groups.
