Tenants and residents across Scotland can now log on to the internet for all their housing information needs thanks to an innovative new website.
Tenants Information Service (TIS) – the organisation responsible for promoting tenant participation in Scotland – has launched a new online site, in order to give tenants and landlords access to up-to-the-minute training packages, and housing information and advice.
The organisation enlisted the help of Hillligton-based ecommerce specialists NSDesign to help them create a website that was both interactive and dynamic.
Last year, NSDesign delivered specialist social media training for SHARE – the Glasgow-based organisation responsible for training housing associations in Scotland. Due to positive feedback received from the training, NSDesign will deliver a social media masterclass series to the organisation in September.
Kirsty Wells, Development Manager of Tenants Information Service said: “TIS’s key objective is to ensure that tenants have access to all of the necessary information and advice to ensure excellent service delivery of their housing services.
“In redesigning the website, we worked with NSDesign to ensure that tenants could get access to as much information as possible at the click of a button. Now our members can get instant access to training resources and distance learning packs online. We also have live Facebook and Twitter feeds – creating a new online environment for tenants and landlords to engage and interact with one another, and to share ideas.
“We selected NSDesign to create our new website because we were very impressed with their track record. We also thought they offered very good value for money - they have answered our queries with efficiency and have helped us as we take over the maintenance of the site ourselves.”
Gary Ennis, Managing Director of NSDesign said: “With over 200 members, including individuals, tenants organisations and landlords, the TIS website had to have a strong interactive element to ensure that clients could engage with one another and obtain access to as much information as possible online.
“We worked extensively with Kirsty and the rest of the team at TIS to help create a website that was tailored for their needs and the requirements of their audiences.”
