Council Approves Plans For 350 New Homes

Aberdeen City Councillors have approved plans for 350 new homes at the Pittodrie Stadium site and surrounding area.

Members of the Development Management Sub-committee heard the housing will be a mix of townhouses, apartments and maisonettes, 35 of which will be affordable housing.

There will be 260 houses and 90 flats, a number of houses will have individual private gardens while others will back on to large communal areas.

A total of 525 parking spaces will be provided along with 30 integral garages and an additional 16 spaces on Golf Road.

Local councillor Richard Robertson welcomed the development.

He said: "It is good to know that this plan will go ahead in such a nice part of the city. I am sure my fellow ward councillors will be as happy as I am that there is new housing going up, 10 per cent of which will be affordable housing."
