Spectrum Estates have completed the sale of an 0.8 acre development site at Southside Park, Thornliebank, Glasgow.
Coach firm Abbey Coaches bought the site for a price of £135,000, equivalent to £170,000 per acre.
Spectrum director, John McColl, said: “This is a highly significant transaction in the current market, building on the recent sale of speculative units to Akela Construction and Soundtex Ceilings, both of whom relocated to Southside Park.”
FG Burnett acted for Spectrum in the sale to Abbey Coaches and are marketing the remaining sites with joint agents Cartwright Consulting. FG Burnett director, Gavin Smith, said: “At a time when industrial development land within the Glasgow city boundary is hard to come by, we have three excellent sites available for sale, from 0.65 to 2.3 acres, cleared and prepared and ready for development.”
Ewan Cartwright of Cartwright Consulting added: “Owner occupiers are attracted by the opportunity to develop purpose built premises from 5000 to 15,000 sq ft and we are already in discussions with a number of potentially interested parties.”
