Glasgow based fitout, housing and maintenance company Morris & Spottiswood has been keeping some very odd hours recently – they’ve been working overnights and have recently completed the Phase 2 refurbishment of Princes Square.
More good news for the company is that they have now been appointed to the £1.76m Phase 3 of the refurbishment.
Recent work in the upmarket shopping centre completed by Morris & Spottiswood included striking new entranceways featuring glass panels changing colour. Walnut and ceramic flooring, streamlined ceilings and contemporary lighting on the Ground and First floors completed the look. Work took place during the night while the centre was empty of customers.
Phrase 3 will continue this work, with the basement, second and third floors now about to receive their makeover. The glass atrium will also be refreshed and bespoke chandeliers designed by Timorous Beasties will be installed.
Fitout Business Unit Director Mark Wanless said: “It is fantastic news that King Sturge and Princes Square owners Redevco have chosen Morris & Spottiswood for this next phase of the refurbishment and is testament to our successful completion of earlier work.”
Charles Saveall, Operations Manager for Princes Square added: “We look forward to working with Morris & Spottiswood throughout 2011 in what we know will be a successful and rewarding partnership. Our passion is to retain Princes Square’s title as Glasgow’s unique shopping destination.”
