Home Insulation Scheme For Midlothian

Private householders in two Midlothian wards are being encouraged to take advantage of free or low cost home insulation as part of the Scottish Government’s Home Insulation Scheme (HIS).

If you live in Loanhead, Straiton, Bilston, Roslin and Milton Bridge or Mayfield, Eskbank, Easthouses, and Cousland you might be eligible for the Scheme.

The HIS aims to maximise the uptake of energy efficiency measures such as loft and cavity wall insulation by providing free or discounted cavity wall or loft insulation in the designated area. Energy Assessors will contact private householders in the area to offer free energy assessments and personalised energy saving advice.

Just some of the potential benefits for residents are warmer and more comfortable homes, lower bills and potentially a higher property value for selling or renting in the future.
