East Dunbartonshire Council’s Building Standards Service will relocate to William Patrick Library in Kirkintilloch between 18 to 22 October.
Disruption will be kept to a minimum at the Service’s current location in Grange Avenue, Milngavie.
The move is the latest in a series of relocation steps to make East Dunbartonshire Council’s estate cost-efficient and more suitable for public access.
Councillor Billy Hendry said: “I’m delighted that the Council’s relocation programme is rolling out as planned. Like other services of the Council such as Social Work, bringing Planning, Building Standards and Economic Development under the one roof means we can offer a more integrated service.”
Other services which have moved have included Social Work from Stewart Street, Milngavie to Bishopbriggs. Environmental and Community Protection relocated to The Grange while Roads, Property and Assets are sited at Broomhill.
The Council’s Accommodation Strategy is expected to take from five to ten years to complete and will deliver, amongst other facilities, a civic centre for the Council and partner organisations, a network of community hubs and a rationalised estate to provide front-line services.
