Developer Unveils Kemnay Eco-Homes

Eco housing for the 21st century and beyond has just been unveiled in the Aberdeenshire village of Kemnay.

Cairn View is a development of 54 two, three, four and five bedroom detached and linked “EcoSmart” luxury houses by Huntly-based Deveron Homes with prices ranging from £215,950 to £429,950 – and no less than 60% of the first phase has already been sold.

Among the raft of “green” features are rook integrated solar water heating, concrete floors to retain heat and energy and the option for an alternative heating source in the form of a wood burning stove on selected plots

“Cairn View goes that extra step to ensure that not only are the houses constructed in an eco-friendly way, but their future maintenance and management has been taken into account to make sure they are easy on the environment and easy on the pocket for the owner,” said Deveron Homes sales director Lynne Holburn.

“The setting is unrivalled and gives people the chance to make a lifestyle choice which offers the best of the countryside on the doorstep and the convenience of a close-to-town location.”

Lynne added: “The wonderful thing about this development is that many of the buyers to date have been local people and that is a great endorsement of the homes we are adding to the community.”

Cairn View is located just off the B993 and within easy reach of Kemnay village centre with its thriving community featuring a range of shops and amenities.
