Plans to create a new park and ride site in the north-west of Aberdeen are to be considered by councillors next week.
Members of the Development Management Sub-committee are recommended to approve the plans, lodged by Aberdeen City Council, for the site next to Walton Farm in Bucksburn.
The proposal is for a 999 space park and ride car park, together with a 500 metre long dual carriageway link road between the A96 and the Dyce Drive and Argyll Road junction.
In a report to committee members, Head of Planning and Sustainable Development Dr Margaret Bochel states: "This will act as a catalyst for other development on zoned land in the area and will benefit the wider economic development of Aberdeen city and Aberdeenshire. It will also help to reduce traffic congestion on the A96 at the airport and Haudagain roundabouts."
The committee will consider the proposal when it meets on Thursday [19 August].
