Grampian Fire and Rescue Service have unveiled a new £320,000 state-of-the-art training facility.
The facility at the Portlethen centre consists of a three-storey training structure which allows firefighters to train in fire behaviours including flashover, back-draft scenarios plus search and rescue in heat and smoke.
The Station Manager for the Development Centre, John Morgan, said the new facilities ensure the safety and competence of the centre is maintained for the firefighters.
"We are one of the very few fortunate services in Scotland who have the ability to train in the most realistic conditions possible," he said.
