Finance Minister, Sammy Wilson, has announced the reappointment of Mr Alan Rainey to the Board of the Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation.
Mr Rainey has been reappointed for a further three years effective from 1 September 2010. He will receive annual remuneration of £9,521 and is expected to devote around 20 days a year to Authority business.
The Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation (the Utility Regulator) is the non-ministerial government department responsible for regulating the electricity and gas industries as well as water and sewerage services in Northern Ireland, with the aim of promoting the short- and long-term interests of consumers.
