Lochbroom House To Reopen After Major Facelift

Lochbroom House, a care home for 11 older people in Ullapool, will be officially reopened on Tuesday 6 July following a £1.4 million refurbishment.

Guests will join residents at an open day to celebrate the facelift. The centre is the ninth Council care home to be refurbished under the Council’s programme of improvements at a total cost of £5.5 million.

Improvements carried out include the provision of improved facilities for disabled people throughout the building, redecoration and renewal of the carpets, some major items of maintenance and the installation of a bio-mass boiler which will help the Council to meet its carbon reduction targets.
