Skye Homes Open New City Centre Office

Self-build company SkyeHomes has announced the opening of a new city-centre Glasgow office.

The company founded by Skye businessman John MacDonald has a central office in Portree on the Isle of Skye and a factory in Broadford.

With over 50 years building experience behind them, SkyeHomes have hundreds of high quality timber-kit homes built all over the UK from the Shetland Islands to the south of England and the opening of their new Glasgow office will give them a mainland position and enable them to cater for new and existing clients across all the regions.

The quality of SkyeHomes designs and their architectural merit was recently recognised when they received a Highly Recommended Award for Residential Architecture in the Home Building & Renovating Awards.

Commenting on the new office, Managing Director John MacDonald said: “The Glasgow office is essential for us to deal effectively with the increasing number of enquiries in new business whilst being more accessible to our existing clients. It will ensure that our turnover continues to grow in line with our strategic business plan whilst maintaining a high quality of service to all our customers. It has been a good year for SkyeHomes and the award, combined with new clients, allows us to continue forward and secure our place in the UK market.”

The opening of a new office in Glasgow coincides with the launch of a new range of house designs at the Home Building and Renovation show at the SECC, Glasgow in May 2010.
