The Salvation Army's building at Sturrock Street in Kilmarnock was rededicated in an official ceremony recently to mark its re-opening after a refurbishment.
Depute Provost John Campbell was invited along to see the cutting of both a cake and a ribbon along with various members of the community with whom the Salvation Army works.
Depute Provost Campbell said: "I was delighted to be invited to attend the rededication ceremony and it was very enjoyable to hear the choirs and bands who entertained us on the day.
"The refurbished building looks fantastic and I'm sure that it will help to enhance the organisation's work."
