East Renfrewshire Council and Link have joined forces to deliver 41 new affordable apartments for rent in the John Street/Henry Street areas of Barrhead.

Link's Director of Housing Maureen Middleton said: "We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Council in an initiative that will see them provide a local service on our behalf."

East Renfrewshire's housing convener, Cllr Danny Devlin, said: "Affordable housing is one of the biggest issues we face. This new development will make more high quality housing available locally to those who need it."

The properties will become available on a block by block basis, with the first release expected in May.
