People in Kirriemuir now have the opportunity to view the layout plan of the first phase of the improvement works at Kirriemuir Hill. Drawings are now on display in the town's library and Access office.
The major project celebrates 150 years since the birth of playwright JM Barrie and the development will include a new play area with a Peter Pan/Neverland motif; a heritage and nature trail; improvement works to the access road, new signage and new picnic tables; improvement works around JM Barrie's grave and a bespoke entrance feature to the park which will be produced as a community art project.
The drawings inform members of the public as to the works which will begin later on in the year.
The project is currently out to tender and work is expected to begin on site in early August, with completion mid- October
The improvement works to the Barrie grave surroundings and signage are ongoing.
