Midlothian Council has approved a report on Dalkeith Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) and Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS) project.

This £2.5million project aims to regenerate Dalkeith Town Centre and includes the opportunity for building owners and tenants to enter a grant scheme for local projects.

"We are encouraging local business and property owners as well as members of the public to participate in the information programme, be that attending the launch on 15 April, viewing the proposals at the Dalkeith Library and Arts Centre or joining one of the guided tours."

Details of the Dalkeith Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) and Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS) will be presented at 6pm on Thursday 15 April, at Midlothian Council Chambers.

A further programme to inform interested members of the public and local businesses, especially building owners and tenants, will be conducted from 19 April. This programme includes a public exhibition of proposed developments from 19 April to 23 April at Dalkeith Library and Dalkeith Arts Centre and guided walks to discuss the proposals.
