Football centre operator Soccerworld has instructed Shepherd Chartered Surveyors to market a 5-a-side football development opportunity on land at Wester Inshes, Inverness.

Detailed planning has been granted for the development of a complex incorporating: seven outdoor 5-a-side pitches; a purpose-built pavilion with male and female changing facilities a reception area; toilets and a licensed bar area overlooking the pitches where players and spectators can relax in a pleasant sporting environment.

Sandy Rennie, head of Shepherd Commercial in Inverness, said: "This land represents a unique opportunity for a football centre operator or a local business person to secure a long leasehold over a prominent site in a city where there is an acknowledged high level of demand for 5-a-side facilities and a noted lack of supply.

"The five acre site of flat, undeveloped land could also accommodate an additional full-size, all weather football pitch which could be used as a training ground for football clubs or the general public."

The proposed development is located to the south of Inverness city centre, adjacent to the Inshes Retail Park on the B8082 bypass road which links to the main A9 trunk road.
