Controversial plans to create a £140m civic square in the centre of Aberdeen are now the subject of a public consultation.
Views on the City Square Project, based in the Union Terrace Gardens, are being sought by Aberdeen City and Shire Economic Future (Acsef), however a rival scheme for Peacock Visual Arts' new centre in the gardens has already received planning permission.
Over a thousand people have signed a petition supporting the Peacocks scheme which is now said to have been put in jeopardy.
Unite union have raised concerns about the cost of the City Square Project coming from the public purse although businessman Sir Ian Wood has offered £50m towards the scheme.
