Funding has been awarded for the enhancement of Kirrie Hill as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of JM Barrie's birth.
The Rural Tayside LEADER programme has made an award of £60,000 - its biggest grant to date - to Angus Council to develop tourism facilities and other amenities at Kirriemuir Hill as part of the commemoration.
The money will help provide a new Neverland Play Area illustrating the world of Peter Pan, furnished with imaginative and distinctive play equipment. The project will also provide improved access, signage, seating, picnic tables and redesign website.
A number of other projects in Perthshire also feature in the recent round of awards. They include a £5,002 upgrade to Victory Park Pavilion in Bridge of Earn and £8,756 to the Scottish Canoe Association for an upgrade to Grandtully campsite, Aberfeldy.
