Cumbernauld Housing Partnership is set to join UK housing provider Sanctuary Group.
Cumbernauld opted to join Sanctuary as it seeks to meet its continuing objectives to develop new houses, address homelessness and deliver excellent services to residents.
With 40 years experience in the housing sector, Sanctuary is ideally placed to support Cumbernauld to bring about long-term service improvements for residents, higher levels of performance and provide the financial backing to develop much-needed affordable homes across the region.
Cumbernauld, which manages over 1,750 homes in the North Lanarkshire area, will now work closely with Sanctuary’s operations in Scotland to improve efficiencies and the range of services offered to residents.
David Bennett, Sanctuary’s Group Chief Executive, said: "We are delighted to welcome Cumbernauld Housing Partnership to Sanctuary Group and look forward to working together to make a positive impact in Cumbernauld.
"By combining our expertise we have the ideal platform from which to improve both our efficiency and the services we provide in order to build stronger communities for our residents."
Alex Clark, Chair of Cumbernauld Housing Partnership, said: "Everyone at CHP has worked tirelessly to achieve this exciting move, which secures our future as a landlord of choice in North Lanarkshire.
"We look forward to a bright future working together as part of Sanctuary to provide not just improved services but also more affordable homes for our residents and the people of Cumbernauld."
The merger brings Sanctuary Group’s total units in management to over 75,000.
