Council tenants in Aberdeenshire have been invited to a special participation event this weekend.
They are invited to view a kitchen exhibition, find out about housing initiatives and get advice on the digital television switchover.
The council's Tenant Participation Promotion Team have organised the event which will take place on Saturday, October 10, from 10am – 2pm at Woodhill House, Westburn Road, Aberdeen.
Chairman of Aberdeenshire Council's Social Work and Housing Committee, Councillor Gurudeo Saluja, said: "Aberdeenshire's housing service is one of the best in Scotland and has been praised for the work carried out with its tenants by the Scottish Housing Regulator.
"Tenants are encouraged to get involved in making decisions to improve the service we provide further and this weekend's event is part of that.
"It's an opportunity for tenants to find out what’s happening, have a say on future initiatives whilst also getting the chance to view an exhibition of kitchens that will be installed as part of our capital programme of housing upgrades."
The tenant participation event will allow tenants to discuss housing issues and learn more about the common housing register, a joint initiative between Aberdeenshire and Moray Council that will allow people to apply for housing across the north east of Scotland more easily.
An exhibition of kitchens will be available to view following a similar exhibition of bathrooms at a tenant event in May and the team is also keen to hear suggestions for future alternatives for kitchen replacements.
Representatives from the digital television switchover help scheme and neighbourhood watch will be in attendance to answer any questions and the event will conclude with a free lunch.
