Residential Interior Designer in Perthshire & Scotland

Founded by Cat Connacher, Blaven Interiors is a creative interior design studio that has been built upon a passion for art and a belief that home should make you feel an innate sense of belonging. Of course it needs to function well, but more importantly it’s a reflection of who you are, where you’ve been, and where you’re going.

With a background and training as a fine artist and a previous career in occupational therapy, Cat brings a rare combination of emotional insight and aesthetic intuition to every project. The process starts with meaningful conversations about what you love, what you’ve collected, what you dream of. A painting, a poem, a vintage textile… these become the spark.

At Blaven, we design layered, collected interiors that don’t follow trends — spaces with soul. We always incorporate interesting artworks, expressive colour palettes and furniture items imbued with history and excellent craftsmansip. Nothing too polite. Nothing too perfect. But always personal.

Our clients tend to be curious, interesting people — unafraid of colour, and ready to create something that truly reflects their spirit.

Blaven Interiors works with clients across Scotland on residential interior design projects.

Services

Our full-service renovation or decorating projects are a comprehensive approach to designing from concept through to completion. We’ll oversee every aspect of your project to create cohesive and well-designed spaces that meet your needs and vision while also considering your overall timeline and budget. Our full service clients benefit from having every aspect of the design carefully considered and managed.

We work very closely with you throughout the project to ensure we are working towards our shared vision.

Consultations are a stand alone service and in important step in our process in order to understand the project and get to know you. We carry these out as an individual service, or at the beginning of each full service project, and in person wherever possible. We can help with specific areas such as choosing paint colours, spatial planning, or sourcing specific items.
