The objective of the NPORS 360 Excavator Training course is to give operators the practical skills and knowledge required to operate tracked or wheeled 360 excavators safely and competently. Training is available for complete beginners, experienced operators and operators requiring refresher training.

NPORS Novice 360 Excavator Training

Never operated an excavator before? Our novice course is designed for candidates with little or no previous experience. Training can run for up to five days and is delivered 1-to-1 at our Tewkesbury centre, giving you maximum practical operating time on the machine.

Training covers pre-use inspections, controls, manoeuvring, excavating, trenching, backfilling, levelling, machine stability, changing attachments, safe working and shutdown procedures.

Successful candidates can apply for the appropriate NPORS Red Trained Operator Card or NPORS Traditional Card.

NPORS Experienced Worker Test

NPORS Excavator Test Above 10t – £360.00 + VAT

Already an experienced excavator operator? The NPORS Experienced Worker Test allows competent operators to complete theory and practical assessments without attending a full novice course.

360 Excavator Categories

Training and testing is available for Micro Excavators up to 1 tonne, 360 Excavators Below 10 Tonnes and 360 Excavators Above 10 Tonnes. It is important to gain the correct category for the size of excavator you will operate.

360 Excavator Training in Tewkesbury

Individuals can train at our dedicated centre in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. We are conveniently located near M5 Junction 9 and approximately a 5-minute walk from Ashchurch for Tewkesbury railway station.

We provide the excavator, training area and practical instruction, making this ideal for individuals who do not have access to suitable machinery through an employer.

On-Site 360 Excavator Training UK

Companies can arrange NPORS 360 Excavator Training on-site anywhere in the UK. Training operators at their own workplace can reduce travel and downtime while allowing them to use familiar machinery.

Customers must provide a suitable excavator, operator manual, required machine documentation and safe training area. See our On-Site Plant Training Requirements.

Excavator as a Crane Training

An excavator operator card does not automatically cover lifting suspended loads. Operators carrying out lifting operations may also require Excavator as a Crane Training, covering lifting accessories, rated capacity, lifting points and safe load control.

Turn Your NPORS Red Card Blue

Operators following the NPORS CSCS route can progress from the Red Trained Operator Card to the Blue Competent Operator Card by completing the relevant Level 2 Plant Operations NVQ.

Vally Plant Training provides workplace 360 Excavator NVQ assessment, helping experienced operators complete their Red-to-Blue progression.
