BoundWorx® Resin Bound System

What is a BoundWorx® surface?
Perfect for both domestic and commercial projects, our BoundWorx® Resin Bound system has been formulated to the highest standard. It is created by mixing a high quality, clear, UV Stable polyurethane resin with a blend of natural aggregate which is then troweled down onto a suitable surface.

We recommend that our Resin Bound system be laid by a team of trained and experienced contractors. Should you require the details of an approved contractor near you or further information about our training opportunities please do not hesitate to contact us.

Why install BoundWorx®?
  • Strong and Durable
When laid to the correct specifications, the structural strength of the BoundWorx® system means that it should last well in excess of 10 years. All of our aggregate blends include suitable fines and clear quartz sand to improve structural strength and maintain grip.

  • UV Stable
UV Stability is vital. In order to retain the colour of the chosen BoundWorx® finish, the system has been formulated to ensure that it is fully UV Stable. Non or partial UV Stable alternatives will discolour within weeks of being installed, creating a yellowing and patchy effect where there are shaded areas.

  • Low Maintenance
BoundWorx® is extremely low maintenance. Rain water will keep it generally clean and a light pressure wash will remove any build up of algae or dirt contamination.

  • Permeable and Eco Friendly
BoundWorx® is a permeable, SuDS compliant system which often eliminates the need to obtain planning permission. Its porous nature means this is an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional surfacing solutions.

  • Attractive and Appealing
Available in a wide range of stunning natural stone finishes, and even in elite marble and glass finishes, the BoundWorx® Resin Bound system is anti-slip and highly attractive. The smart, stylish and modern look can dramatically improve the look of any property.
BoundWorx® Preparation
The BoundWorx® system should be laid onto an appropriately structurally sound and secure base. To prevent reflective cracking or sinking there should be no movement in the sub-base.

A solid edging detail must be in place either 15mm above the area to be laid for pedestrianised areas, or 18mm above for trafficked areas such as driveways. Typical edging details are Granite Setts or concrete edging stones. We can supply aluminium metal edging strips if required.

BoundWorx® Application
The resin and hardener are mixed together and this is then mixed with the chosen aggregate blend and the fines and sand in a specialised Forced Action Mixer. We are agents for Baron and suggest a Baron M110 Forced Action Mixer. The materials are then troweled down onto the prepared surface.

BoundWorx® Resin Bound Training
As the popularity of Resin Bound is grows rapidly and more people learn about all of its benefits, there has never been a better time to train as a BoundWorx® Contractor. Our training programme gives contractors the opportunity to attend an office-based introductory session which is then followed by a practical session on site.

Resin Bound Tree Pits
Tree pits are an attractive, practical and environmentally friendly solution for covering and protecting the bases of trees where soil and roots are exposed. This permeable system helps to alleviate the usual problems of vandalism, litter entrapment and messy loose gravel while giving a smart finish and still allowing the tree to grow.

The application of a Tree Pit is very similar to the Resin Bound system. The materials are mixed together and troweled to a depth of either 50mm or 75mm on well compacted urban tree soil.

Resin Bonded System
Aside form the BoundWorx® system, we also supply materials for the Resin Bonded system. This system uses a durable polyurethane resin which is applied to Concrete, Tarmac, Wood or Metal. The washed and dried aggregate is then scattered on top and the excess is swept away once the resin has cured. This gives the appearance of a loose gravel surface without the common trouble of stone migrating along paths and into houses.

BoundWorx® Introductory Training

Time to get your diaries out! After the success of our June and July BoundWorx® introductory training sessions, we have scheduled the next one for Wednesday 9th August.

The introductory session has a classroom presentation feel and is held in Uckfield, East Sussex at the local Civic Centre, this is then followed by a small practical demonstration at our offices which are also located in Uckfield.

The introductory session is designed to give some background information about the laying and marketing of our BoundWorx® materials and our expectation is that you would then go on to do an on site training session with us when you are ready to start laying this material to complete full training.

In the seminar we cover a range of different topics to give the best possible overview of the BoundWorx® system:

Our product range
Resin Bound BoundWorx® permeable system
