Access Panels
Access Panels can be installed in a wall or ceiling to allow for maintenance and repair of ductwork, wires, pipes, and other equipment within the building. Whether you are looking for an Access Panel to be installed within your ceiling or wall, Trade Access Panels have a variety of options for you, available in various sizes and in fire and non-fire rated versions. Trade Access Panels can also provide bespoke Access Panels to suit almost any situation, in a variety of RAL colours. The Access Panels can even be coated in an antibacterial finish to reduce the spread of germs.
Loft Hatches
The Trade Access Panels range of drop down Insulated Loft Access Hatches can be either fire or non-fire rated. They are supplied with a unique hinge system, which means the door can be opened 90 degrees to give you maximum access to your loft space.
Trade Access Panels can provide bespoke Loft Hatches to suit almost any size requirement, which can even be dust-primed for onsite decoration; therefore whenever you paint your ceiling, you can simply paint the loft hatch the same colour.
All Loft Hatches are on a lead-time in the region of 5-7 working days, as they are made to measure your specific requirements. Trade Access Panels are proud to announce that we can now also offer a bespoke non-fire rated Insulated Loft Hatch with Youngman Ladder as one.
Roof Hatches
Roof Hatches provide safe and convenient access to a roof. This new design features thermally broken sections, Kingspan insulation, and a 300mm curb liner included in the price.
Our Roof Hatches commercial and residential are leading the way with an entirely unique design, manufactured from aluminium for enhanced thermal insulation. The 300mm upstand is filled with 50mm insulation. It comes complete with a gas spring assisted opening and incorporates a safety hold open stay to prevent accidental closure.
Roof Lights
Trade Access Panels offer a wide selection of both Glass and Polycarbonate Flat Roof skylights from a variety of manufacturers. Either of the Polycarbonate or Glass options would be excellent to not only add value to your property but would also brighten up the interior of your domestic or commercial property.
A Polycarbonate Flat Roof Skylight can be provided with either clear or diffused polycarbonate and are designed for use on flat or low-pitched roofs, to allow natural light into buildings whilst maintaining the integrity of the building envelope.
The Flat Glass Rooflights can be provided with Solar Control glass to help keep the property warmer within the winter months and cooler in the summer.

Trade Access Panels are pleased to announce we have added a new product to our range, two-hour Fire Rated Riser Doors.
Our new TAP51 range of bespoke Fire Rated Riser Doors are not only Fire Tested up to 2-hours from both the face and the rear of the panel to ensure the spread of fire is contained on either side of the door but are also smoke sealed as standard.
All of our Riser Doors are manufactured here in the UK and are fitted with a three-point locking system which is operated by way of a 3-way lock other locking options are available upon request.
Our Riser Doors have been specially designed, and fire tested specifically for use in riser shafts running through multi-storey buildings to help prevent fire escaping from and into riser shafts.

Our Fire Rated Overboxes are a retrofit solution for keeping your gas and electrical meters safe from fire and tamper. These are ideally suited for refurbishment and newbuild products for multi-occupancy properties such as apartment blocks.
Not only does the Overbox hide unsightly, damaged, or generally old meter boxes, but our Overboxes are also Fire Rated up to 120-minutes.
All of our Overboxs are produced in the UK and are designed to easily fit over the most common meter boxes, and arrive powder coated in RAL9010 (other colours are available upon request).
The Fire Rated Overbox design has been independently tested and achieves up to 120-minute integrity fire rating in accordance with BSEN 1634-1 and is available in sizes up 1070mm High x 650mm Wide and includes an 8mm Triangular Electrical Cabinet Insert (other locks are available upon request).

It is available on all our Metal Faced Access Panels and features an effective antibacterial agent which kills fungi and most species of bacteria including the deadly MRSA, Salmonella, E coli and C difficile.
The Antibacterial Powder Coating makes our panels a better choice for places with a higher risk of growing and spreading germs. These include places such as swimming pools, hospitals, laboratories, dental practices, restaurant kitchens, agricultural buildings, lavatories etc.,
Intense cleaning is not enough to prevent the existence and growth of bacteria. Also heat treatments are not effective enough as certain strains of bacteria are not at all or not sufficiently affected by heat. Therefore we need to think of different and additional solutions.
MRSA, for example, is very hard to prevent and also to treat once infection has taken place. Infection often results in very severe illness or even death. It affects especially people with a weakened immune system, with open wounds or invasive devices such as catheters. MRSA is no longer only prevalent in hospitals but also in for example prisons and nursing homes.

Access Panels for Plumbing and Electrical Equipment
Access Panels are, briefly, doors or hatches which provide access into to a space or void in a wall or ceiling. The only real difference between a Loft Hatch and an Access Panel is that Loft Hatches are usually insulated (although not always). On most occasions, Access Panels are installed for convenient access to plumbing components, electrical outlets, or circuit boxes whereas Loft Hatches tend to be larger panels fitted to gain access into the loft/attic area within a domestic property.
At Trade Access Panels, we can also offer Riser Doors which are larger Access Panels. These are usually installed into walls, lift shaft walls and drywall partitions to gain access to electrical and mechanical services. these are often required for office blocks, hotel and hospitals but are less frequently required for the domestic property.
When looking to install a specific Access Panel for access to electrical components, we would recommend using our TAP51/060/MD/PF/3WL Access Panel which is Fire Rated from both the front (face) and rear (back) of the panel. As standard, almost all Access Panels on the market today are only Fire Rated from the face, and therefore would only help reduce the spread of the fire if this occurred in front of the panel; whereas we believe that a fire is equally as likely to start from behind the panel due to possible electrical issues, hence the development of this bespoke panel.
If you are looking to install Access Panels for plumbing and pipework, we would recommend installing the FlipFix Access Panel range which is one of the simplest and most convenient Access Panels to fit on the market today due to the revolutionary FlipFix device which negates the need to baton out the aperture prior to installation; thus saving on average 20 mins per panel to install! The FlipFix Access Panel range are available in a selection of stock sizes and can also be made to measure if required (subject to size requirements).
Or alternatively our discrete Plasterboard door access panels, these offer a flush discrete finish once installed as you can skim (plaster) over both the door and the frame.
You may also be interested to know that we can offer Tile Door Access Panels which might also be of interest if you are looking to gain discrete access to pipework within a kitchen or bathroom. These are made to measure; all we would need to know is the size of the structural opening (the hole in the wall) and the tile size/thickness and that of the grout and/or adhesive.

Natural Ventilation within the Workplace & Home
Whilst globally we try to develop a vaccine for COVID-19, you may have heard on the news that Scientists have been looking to create approaches that can assist in reducing the spread of viruses (including COVID-19) within the workplace and domestic environments (coronavirus ventilation in buildings).
Scientists have revealed that the safest place to be to be is outdoors; however, when this is not possible then the safest indoor spaces are those with a high level of outside air replacing the stale inside air. This is of course easily achieved within the summer months by opening windows and doors etc, however it is a little trickier in the winter (especially in the UK) when the inclement weather conditions can make this much harder.
Many people across the UK spend on average up to one-third of their lives at work; many of them working indoors (mainly within office buildings and the like). However, many of these builders were constructed some years ago and ventilation was not a key priority at that time.
Within most office buildings, indoor air is made up of around only 25% “outside air”. The rest is made up of recirculated and/or filtered air, which means it has already been breathed by the other occupants previously. If this indoor air is not regularly exchanged, it can contain greater levels of pollutants than outside air, according to studies by the Environmental Protection Agency. Natural ventilation can be a very simple and effective way to assist in releasing this bad “indoor air” and encourage the “good” outside air to be exchanged within the property.
And even better use of natural ventilation would be to incorporate a Rooflight which offers both Natural Ventilation and Natural Daylight; both of which have been proven to be highly beneficial to the health and wellbeing of the occupants. a perfect example would be a Manual or Electrically Operated Ventilation Rooflight complete with trickle vents.
