CE Marks
The Construction Products Regulation (CPR) became mandatory in the UK with effect from 1st July, 2013 thus requiring manufacturers to apply CE marking to all of their products which are covered by a harmonised European standard (hEN) or European Technical Assessment.

This is a major change as currently, under the provision of the Construction Product Directive, CE marking is voluntary. We have therefore been working in partnership with our suppliers to ensure full implementation of the regulation where appropriate.

SIG Distribution is responsible for ensuring that products on sale throughout our branch network that fall within the CPR are fully compliant to CE marking and supported with copies of CE certification, copies of actual CE marks and manufacturers' Declaration of Performance (DoP). As the volume & complexity of these documents is vast the majority of manufacturers are hosting this information on their individual websites.
