Farmhouse Furniture have been established in the Black Isle of Scotland for over 20 years; surrounded by stunning landscapes and high quality woodland producing beautiful handmade furniture that will last a lifetime and beyond. Built to any size you require from local timber felled under license or from storm damage.

Door Stripping
We offer a fast and professional door stripping service and pride ourselves on how clean we can strip paint and varnish from doors. SEND US AN EMAIL TO info@farmhouse-furniture.com TO BOOK YOUR DOORS IN. Doors are first dipped then are neutralised and washed down thoroughly. They can be further neutralised with hot water and vinegar should any white crystals form on the surface.

Door handles should be removed prior to stripping but locks and handles can be left in place. We recommend doors be finished in Danish Oil.

Price for stripping depends on the number of doors and whether they are painted or varnished. Charge is approx £50.00 per door and we charge £40 to collect and return a batch of doors. We cover the Highlands and Inverness area including Orkney, Shetland and Western Isles. We also cover Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and can collect doors and furniture for stripping when we attend the Aberdeen Country Fair in Belmont Street in the city centre which we attend on the last Saturday of each month.

Farmhouse Range
The Farmhouse Range of furniture has developed over the years into a solid chunky style all designed and built in our own workshop from locally sourced quality timber; felled under license or from storm damage.

Scottish Wood Range
The Scottish wood range is built from local hardwoods including oak, elm, beech and sycamore. The timber is first cut into slabs then left to dry naturally for two years before finishing in our own kiln.

Garden Furniture
We are developing our own range of garden furniture which is both functional and attractive without costing a fortune. Native slabs of oak, elm or sycamore can be used on a sturdy carved base or we can supply the more common picnic bench.

Coat Racks
Our range of coat racks are made from the best quality oak, sycamore or elm timber from Scotland. They are full of character and have good quality hooks and are suitable for hallways, bedrooms and bathrooms, giving a piece of functional furniture good looks. We can make them to whatever size you require.

Dog Beds
These are our dog beds which everyone loves at all the shows we go to. It turns a normally ugly eyesore into an attractive oak bed. They are both strong and functional and can be built to whatever size your dog requires.
