CTS are specialists in the Design, Manufacture and Installation of Bridges, Footbridges, Boardwalks, Lockgates and Decking.

CTS have been designing and manufacturing bridges and structures since 1988 and are one of the market leaders in footbridge design, offering one of the most extensive ranges of steel, timber and steel and timber footbridges.

We specialise in the design, fabrication and installation of footbridges of all types and sizes- including Pedestrian only, Cycle / Bridleway bridges and Vehicular access bridges - all designed and detailed to reflect their use, size and the aesthetic required.

Depending on the type of scheme, we can offer design and build services or a more consultancy based role.

Design
The style and type of a new bridge is dictated by its intended purpose, its location, the predicted loading on the structure and the available budget.

At CTS we specialise in the design of footbridges and recognise that they can have a huge impact on the urban environment due to their high visibility and frequent usage.

We can offer a bespoke design service which takes an initial architectural idea and then works with the Client to develop the bridge’s structural concept through to an outline design, to ensure a Client gets the bridge they want for the budget they have.

CTS have an in-house team of bridge engineers comprising Chartered Civil and Structural Engineers to design the bridges that we subsequently fabricate in our factory in Yorkshire, Spans typically range from 3m simple timber kit bridges to 80m+ cable stayed steel bridge structures.

Hi Grip Decking
Hi-Grip Decking is available in softwood, hardwood and FSC timbers and with three standard thickness 33mm x 45mm & 70mm. Each board is 145mm wide. We can supply the deck cut to length (Free of charge) or in standard lengths of 4.8m. Suitable fixings can also be supplied.

This unique product is manufactured in house by CTS and is ideal for areas of public use. It retains the natural beauty of timber whilst providing an effective non-slip surface that can be used year round.

Landscape structures
CTS specialise in bringing the Landscape Architect's ideas into reality. Our expertise in this area means we can tackle a wide variety of bespoke structures ranging from the very simple to elaborate ‘one off’ designs

We offer a design, build and installation service or we can supply only components for others to fit on site. We employ our own experienced installation teams who operate nationwide.

By incorporating our ‘Hi-Grip Excel’™ Non-slip decking into the structures means that they are safe for general public use.
