New HQ For Sureclean Opens In Alness

The new global headquarters of Sureclean have been officially opened in Alness.

The facilities are located adjacent to the original site at River Drive in the area, where most of the company's workforce is based.

The £2m development has been part-funded by the Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), and has resulted in a modern, 7,000 sq ft office in an open-plan environment, which aims to improve workflow and inter-departmental communication with effective use of training and meeting facilities. In addition to the new office facility, the development has also extended the firms Support Services base, increasing its warehouse and workshop space by 6,000 sq ft.

John Barron, Sureclean Managing Director, commented: "Sureclean has built a long-standing relationship with HIE and we are very grateful for their continuous support. This project was necessitated due to the company's increasing staff levels and has also provided capacity for future growth.

"Alness is where Sureclean was founded and remains the heartland of the business and it was important that this was the site of our new HQ. We have ensured that this space provides a comfortable working environment for our employees, combining ergonomic meeting, training and welfare facilities."

Robin Gilbert, HIE Senior Development Manager, added: "The energy industry is a key sector for the Inner Moray Firth economy and Sureclean is an important member of the supply chain with significant international business. HIE is pleased to assist the company with a £400,000 grant to help expand its Alness base. We look forward to Sureclean's continuing success and further growth."
